Please read this Acceptable Content policy.

Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with this Policy. this Policy applies to all visitors, users and others who access or use the Service.

By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by this Policy. If you disagree with any part of the policy then you may not access the Service.

Background

This policy applies to any content that a user adds to the Bandex app, specifically content that will be displayed in the form of information pages for a specific band, including song titles.  Please note that if your song titles contains an offensive words then you must represent the offensive word with stars (****).  If the entire title of a song is offensive then it is not permitted on the Bandex app.  We want Bandex to be a place that all users feel welcome and safe and there is no place on Bandex for bands peddling hate language or similar.

This policy is designed to outline exactly what language is unacceptable on this app.

Offensive Content

We ask that your content not include anything that is offensive, insensitive, upsetting, intended to disgust, in exceptionally poor taste, or just plain creepy. Examples of such content include:

Defamatory, discriminatory, or mean-spirited content, including references or commentary about religion, race, sexual orientation, gender, national/ethnic origin, or other targeted groups, particularly if the app is likely to humiliate, intimidate, or place a targeted individual or group in harmÕs way.

Realistic portrayals of people or animals being killed, maimed, tortured, or abused, or content that encourages violence. ÒEnemiesÓ within the context of a game cannot solely target a specific race, culture, real government, corporation, or any other real entity.

Depictions that encourage illegal or reckless use of weapons and dangerous objects, or facilitate the purchase of firearms or ammunition.

Overtly sexual or pornographic material, defined by WebsterÕs Dictionary as "explicit descriptions or displays of sexual organs or activities intended to stimulate erotic rather than aesthetic or emotional feelings."

Inflammatory religious commentary or inaccurate or misleading quotations of religious texts.

Filtering

Your content will be filtered as you input it for specific words that are unacceptable on the app.  This is our way (in a world where there isnÕt an ideal way) of ensuring the app is comfortable and safe for all users.  While we do not want to censor you, we want Bandex to be an app that everyone can be comfortable using and in addition we are ourselves limited by the requirements of the app stores featuring this app.  For this reason words recognized by the app as offensive will be blocked and you will have to either change them or use asterisks instead of them before you will be able to save your content.   Please do not try to beat this filter – itÕs not exhaustive, but we do ask you to respect the spirit of the policy.  We use a list of words that is a combination of lists used by some well known companies and the actual list is shown here: https://metadataconsulting.blogspot.com/2018/09/Google-Facebook-Office-365-Dark-Souls-Bad-Offensive-Profanity-key-word-List-2648-words.html

Anyone found featuring language that breaches the spirit or text of this policy despite these requests would have their content removed. Repeat offenders will be blocked from the app.  We do this because firstly we want users to be comfortable using the app and not confronted unexpectedly by language that will offend, and secondly because it is part of our contract with the app stores and without doing it we cannot make our app available on those stores.

If you find there is a word or phrase being used on Bandex that offends you and you would like us to remove it,, please do contact us (see below).  We will seriously consider all requests but action taken will be entirely at our discretion.
